The Summer Programme of International Organizations is organized by LEDECO to provide Chinese students with access to latest information and professional knowledge as well as a network of international organizations through courses delivered by senior experts from international organizations including the United Nations (UN), World Trade Organization (WTO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), World Bank (WB) etc. Since its establishment, LEDECO has successfully organized the summer programme jointly with Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) of China for years.

The Geneva-based Winter Camp titled “Global Economic and Trade Governance: Changes and Challenges” is organized by LEDECO for Chinese university students, aiming to offer them the opportunities to directly interact with senior representatives of the international organizations. Participants take field visits to international organizations such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Trade Centre (ITC) etc., and have a series of intensified courses delivered by senior experienced professionals from international organizations. Since its establishment, LEDECO has successfully organized this programme jointly with Tsinghua University (THU) of China.

Study Tour of Global Governance is organized by LEDECO aiming to provide an opportunity for Chinese students to take field visits to international organizations such as the United Nations (UN) and World Trade Organization (WTO) and directly interact with senior representatives so that they can feel closely how international economic and trade governance operate, roles of international organizations and how local stakeholders, such as Swiss institutions and enterprises, can also contribute. Since its establishment, LEDECO has successfully organized study tours for many Chinese universities.

The simulation course divides participants in groups as members and chair or the Secretariat of international organizations like the World Trade Organization (WTO). It encompasses both discussions of a number of agenda items and a text-based negotiation on a certain item in international organizations. Through the course, participants learn how to prepare official proposals, draft ambassadorial statements, engage in text-based negotiations, organize formal and informal negotiations, and host signing ceremony of a deal. Since its establishment, LEDECO has successfully organized this programme with University of Business and Economic (UIBE), Tsinghua University (THU), Renmin University of China (RUC) and Donghua University (DHU) etc.
