LEDECO&UIBE Study Tour of Global Governance 2025

From 30 September to 7 October 2025, LEDECO Centre Swiss (LEDECO) organized an in-depth “Study Tour for Global Vision and Multilateral Spirits” jointly with the University of Business and Economics (UIBE) of China. 12 students from different majors and grades participated the tour. Prof. Xiankun Lu, Managing Director of LEDECO Centre Swiss provided guidance for the students through the whole tour.

2025年9月30日-10月7日，瑞士箂科中心与对外经贸大学开展2025“欧洲国际组织深度实践”研学活动，来自贸大多个专业和年级的12位学生参加，贸大国际合作交流处武丹丹老师带队，箂科中心执行主任卢先堃教授全程指导并参与此次研学活动。

During this tour, the delegation visited eight international organizations, namely the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the UN Office at Geneva, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Trade Centre (ITC), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), as well as the Chinese and South African delegations to the WTO.

期间，贸大代表团共参访了8个国际组织，以及中国与南非驻WTO代表团，8个国际组织包括联合国政府间气候变化专门委员会（IPCC）、世贸组织（WTO）、联合国万国宫、国际移民组织（IOM)、国际商会（International Chamber of Commerce, ICC）、 国际贸易中心（ITC）、国际劳工组织（ILO）、红十字会与红新月会国际联合会（IFRC）。

Marumo NKOMO, DPR of South Africa to the WTO; Andrej Mahecic, Head of Communications of IPCC, Remo Becci, Head of ILO Archives; Valerie Picard, Head of Trade at ICC; Elizabeth (Liz) Warn, Head of Labour Mobility Division of IOM; Weijie Xu, Senior Advisor of IOM and other high-level officials of international organizations and delegations gave lectures to the delegation and answered students’ questions. The students listened attentively and asked questions actively, learning about the history and functions of the above international organizations, the opportunities and challenges they face and the role played by China, and also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the internship and job opportunities as well as the relevant requirements of these international organizations.

南非驻WTO副代表Marumo NKOMO，IPCC外联部主任Andrej Mahecic、ILO档案处处长Remo Becci, ICC全球贸易便利化联盟副主任Valerie Picard，IOM劳动流动部门处长Elizabeth (Liz) Warn，IOM高级顾问徐维婕，中国驻WTO代表团经贸处新闻处四位官员等国际组织高级别官员亲自给代表团做了讲座并回答了同学们的问题。同学们认真听讲、积极提问，深入学习了上述国际组织的历史和功能、面临的机遇和挑战以及中国所发挥的作用，也全面了解了这些国际组织的实习和求职机会以及相关要求。
